The “Healthy Bites Early Literacy Supplement is designed for beginning English speakers in grades 3-5. It contains 5 lessons that are each approximately 30-45 minutes in length. This unit can be easily adjusted to meet the needs of K-2 and/or intermediate English proficiency students.
This Early Literacy Supplement is a companion to English Learner Portal’s “Healthy Bites Unit”. By combining the English language development unit with this supplement, you can maximize vocabulary usage and concept development in support of oral language and literacy development.
This supplement integrates health, language arts, and science concepts with language development standards.
